Goes to show that new cars fold up just as bad as a older one in a head on crash. Well, if they were equall weight. Depends on quality to the 2 vehicles, structural integrity is a HUGE factor also. If one car is rusted out really bad it would fold up worse than a non rusted one due to thier being no inner sub frame or it being weakend. Ex. the chevy balaire VS a 09 Malibu.

With that said, since 2005 under Alan Mulally's leadership, Ford Motor Company has restructured and has been making their cars just as successful as their trucks. The award winning Ford Fusion is proof of this. So far in 2010, Ford has sold more cars than any other automaker...seriously, Google it!)

The Electric Steering in these Toyota cars is extremely bad. The new Corolla with electric power steering has dangerously bad road handling issues. I cannot stress in words how badly these cars handle on the road. Toyota's spokesmen lie about the problem and they are ignoring this problem because there is no fix for it. The problem is the steering system itself. Toyota cannot afford to do what is right and that is to repurchase these awful cars from customers who bought them in good faith.

It's official. Sorry ass Toyota announced that it will recall 270,000 of its sorry ass Toyota and Lexus cars for faulty engine valve springs. Ouch! If you are a Lexus LS, GS or ES owner, that means you have to drop it off for several days if not weeks. They have to break the seal of head gaskets, take the entire top half of the engine, install faulty springs, machinetool the head and reinstall top half of the engine. That's a major process. Good luck, Lexus owners. You've been screwed again.

Dude, you need to know that the United States is probably the biggest outsourcer in the world. they provide people jobs from different countries all over the world and then suddenly the hoop whole in our economy has caught up to us. I didn't hear much from China when this economy crashed. Toyota Sux!!!! I worked at the plant for three years, and no bitterness here folks, loved the pay and benefits. However, let me tell you America, there were quite a bit of shortcuts taken on many vehicles just to get them out the door. And from a personal standpoint, there are people In leadership positions that don't have a clue on how to properly guide and motivate people In a positive way. Sanyo is the SOLE producer of Fords Escape hybrid batteries. I know this because I install them in the cars at Kansas City Assembly Plant. Panasonic supplies Toyota...and recently Sanyo is looking to purchase a controlling share of Panasonic....So that is probably how that "rumor" got started.

I just heard on the news that four people were on the highway in their Toyota when the car went out of control, accelerating to 120 mph and the brakes failing. They made a 911 call, and as they approached the intersection, you could hear their screams of terror. All four DIED in the accident that followed. i have 2003 corrolla 150k miles on odometer i am original owner this is what i have done to the car/oil change every 5000 miles/front brake pads/battery/left low beam/wiper insert and 2 sets of tires.i will never fucken drive anything else it is insane how toyota does it no oil leaks drives like new.

he shift/gas by wire is an unnecessarily expensive complication with potential for death. Not allowing the engine to turnoff at high speeds a MAJOR design flaw. The press is a lot less forgiving than Ford had from the accident where the driver stopped on the highway and was hit by a pill popping truck driver. If anyone has a video of a panic stop in the Toyota at highway speeds with the throttle rigged wide open I'd like to see it, especially with and without a vacuum assist failure.
