@Pahis1 If memory serves, the Peugeot F1 car that had turbocharging had 1300HP before it was banned, active aerodynamics were banned the same season they were introduced after the team beat all their previous records, and the one season ABS was allowed EVERY track record was broken. It would be amazing to allow that stuff in an open class. lol

@EmptyWarning SInce when Barrichelo got a number higher than MS? Its either MS 1 and Barrichelo 2 or MS 3 or Barrichelo 4. I don't know when this is, but i guess its in 2000 where Ferrari no.3 and 4 because they got 2nd in the driver's championship at 1999 and1st in constructor in 1999.

thank god without any consequences. It happened during the sunday morning warm-up practice in the 2000 San Marino Grand Prix. The two pit stops in the race later that day worked flawlessly.:-))

to give you an insight into the force of that off the side of his car that scrapes along the ground get's so hot that it actually set's alight. so thats a minimum of some 600 degrees reached in the space of some 4 seconds of friction. The engine cover also probably saved his life because you clearly see that the car is scrapping along basicly on the back wheel and engine cover. which is maybe a couple of inches from the guys head and without which he would have made that slide fully upsidedown.

GT1 cars, such as this Porsche 911 GT1 and also the Mercedes CLK LM (GTR), which flipped at Le Mans in 1999, had aerodynamic flaws that enabled "dirty" air coming from the car ahead to life the nose and then the underbody, sending the car soaring nose-first into the air. This same issue also plagued a BMW prototype at this very race (Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta) two years later in 2000.
